In addition to the Backups tab, the DynamoDB console provides access to a separate Backups page, from which you can\u00a0create on-demand backups<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Note:<\/strong>\u00a0If you create backups using the\u00a0Backups<\/strong>\u00a0section in the navigation pane, the table isn\u2019t preselected for you. You have to manually select the source table name for the backup.<\/p>\n

How to delete a Table:<\/h2>\n

1)<\/strong> Choose\u00a0Delete table<\/span> on the\u00a0Tables\u00a0page of the console.
\n2)<\/strong> A pop-up window asks you to confirm your choice with two options:\u00a0Delete all CloudWatch alarms<\/span> for this table (chosen by default) and\u00a0create a backup before deleting this table<\/span>. Enabling the latter option is useful in situations where data from a deleted table must remain available. If you choose the latter option, you will have a backup of the deleted table on the\u00a0Backups\u00a0page of the console.<\/p>\n

3)<\/strong> Choose\u00a0Delete<\/span> to complete the deletion of the table.<\/p>\n
