Cloud Storage bucket permissions<\/span><\/h2>\r\n

Prerequisites<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Hardware\u00a0 :\u00a0 GCP<\/a><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Google account<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

We can give permissions in GCP bucket<\/a> like who can view it, who can edit it, who can add objects in it and so on. It is a good practice to add permissions.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Open Cloud Console<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Click Menu > Cloud Storage > Browser<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Select one project.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Click Configuration. You can see the configuration of the Bucket.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Click on Permissions.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

The Access Control can be changed as our wish. Here selected is Fine Grained. We\u2019ll talk about it later.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

We can add permissions for the users. Click on Add.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Give the member(s) mail-ID\/ Service account\/ G-suite to give permission for access.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Select a role for the member(s)<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Select the role from the list. You can assign multiple roles for single member.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Click Save.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Click on Objects. The Uploaded files and folders will be shown in here.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Click on 3 dots in one file. Click on edit permissions.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Here we can give individual permission for individual file. It is done because the access control is fine grained.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

We are giving individual permission for doc-1. Click on Add Entry.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Select the Entity type for your needs. Give the mail-id\/ G-suite\/ service account.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Select the Access type you need to give. Click Save.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Now prwatech@gmail.com has the access to read doc-1.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

We\u2019ll check the Uniform Access Control.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Click on Permissions > Switch to uniform.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Select Uniform and click save. Uniform Access Control will give the uniform access to every data.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Click on Add.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Give the member(s) mail-ID\/ G-suite\/ Service account.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Select the role which you want to assign. Click Save.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
