How to set up Go for Windows a quick and easy guide<\/span><\/h2>\r\n



Prerequisites<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Hardware\u00a0 :\u00a0 Local Machine<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

To install Go on your machine, Click on the below link<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

https:\/\/golang.org\/dl\/<\/a><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Download the Go for Microsoft Windows.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

After downloading open the downloaded file and click next.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Tick the Agreement and click Next.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Give the Destination folder to install. Note the installation folder. We may need the installation path later. Click Next.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Click Install.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Open the location where we installed the GO. Select the path and copy it.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Now we have to set the environment variables. Search environment variable in search bar.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Click on Edit the system environment variables.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

A Click on Environment variables.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Give variable name as\u00a0GoPath<\/strong>\u00a0and paste the path of Go in variable value area. Then press OK.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Now press ok<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Click on below link to open VS Code Installation guide.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

After Installing, open VS code — click File >New File<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Write a sample code and save it. File extension should be .go<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Type the code below to change the directory into the installed folder.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
