Manage VM instances with instance templates<\/span><\/h2>\r\n

 <\/p>\r\n

Prerequisites<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Hardware : GCP<\/a><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Google account<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Instance templates are used to create the Virtual Machines or a group of Instances (MIG\u2019s) having same Configuration. It is useful when we have to create more than one instance at a time.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

To create Instance Template,<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Open the compute engine > Instance Templates<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Click on Create Instance Template.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Here we can create the instance templates. It is similar to the instance creation.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Click the Instance<\/a> to know how to create an in Instance.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Click Create after selecting the specifications needed for the instance template.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Now the instance template is created.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

To create instance group using instance template, Click on the instance template.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Click on Create Instance Group.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

It will show the window similar to Instance Creation but here we can create multiple instances with same specification.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Give the name for instance.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Choose the zone and region. Then click on instance template.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Select the Instance template which you want. Click on Auto scaling mode.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Select it as don\u2019t auto scale.\u00a0 Then give the number of instances which you want to create.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Select the CPU Utilization. Choose the CPU utilization which you want.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Give the minimum and maximum number of instances. Then press Create. It will create only the specified number of instances with specified Instance template specification.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
