Transferring data into Hbase using Pig

Step1:Download pig-0.11.1.tar.gz:

Step 2: tar the pig-0.11.1.tar.gz

Step3: Create scripts.pig file, which contains all the pig commands:

STEP 4: Create input.csv file:

STEP 5: Copy input.csv file to hdfs:

STEP 6: Run hbase shell:

STEP 7: Create a table sample_names with info as column family:

STEP 8: Execute the command shown in the below screen shot:

STEP 9: Run hbase shell and scan sample_names table as shown in below screen shot:
