1. Fundamentals and IAM

Module 1: what cloud computing is, AWS global infrastructure, regions and availability zones, the shared responsibility model, the AWS pricing model, AWS Free Tier plans and the billing dashboard
Module 2: IAM users, groups and roles, managed and inline policies, MFA and security best practices, IAM for EC2 and other services
Labs: AWS account setup, an IAM user and group, an IAM role for EC2 and MFA

2. EC2 and Storage

Module 3: EC2 overview, instance types and AMIs, security groups, key pairs and networking basics
Module 4: EC2 storage options, Elastic Block Store, volume types and snapshots, Elastic File System
Labs: launch an EC2 instance, connect over SSH, install a web server, attach EBS, take a snapshot and mount EFS

3. Load Balancing, Auto Scaling and S3

Module 5: Elastic Load Balancer and its types, Auto Scaling groups and scaling policies, high availability concepts
Module 6: S3 architecture, buckets and objects, storage classes, versioning, lifecycle policies and S3 security
Labs: create a load balancer and target group, set up an auto scaling group and simulate scaling, upload files and configure lifecycle rules in S3

4. RDS, Route 53 and AWS CLI

Module 7: database types in AWS, Amazon RDS, engine types such as MySQL and PostgreSQL, Multi AZ deployment, backup and restore, read replicas
Module 8: DNS basics, Route 53 overview, hosted zones and record types
Module 9: AWS CLI setup, configuring credentials, common commands and automating tasks

5. Amazon EMR and Amazon Redshift

Module 10: what Amazon EMR is, the Hadoop ecosystem, Spark on EMR, launching a cluster and submitting a sample Spark job
Module 11: data warehousing and Redshift, architecture and components, serverless and provisioned options, schema design, loading data from S3 with the COPY command, query optimization basics
Labs: launch an EMR cluster, create Redshift tables, load data with COPY and run analytical SQL queries

6. AWS Glue

Glue and ETL concepts, architecture and components
Glue Data Catalog, databases and tables, crawlers and schema discovery
Glue Studio and visual ETL jobs, PySpark basics and data transformation techniques
Job scheduling, monitoring and logging, Glue security with IAM roles
Integrating Glue with Redshift, and an end to end ETL pipeline

7. Messaging, Streaming and Serverless

Module 13: SQS queue concepts, standard and FIFO queues, SNS and the publish and subscribe model, Kinesis streaming basics
Module 14: what serverless means, AWS Lambda overview, API Gateway at a concept level, event driven architecture
Labs: create an SQS queue and an SNS topic, run a basic Kinesis stream, write a Lambda function and trigger it from S3

8. Monitoring in AWS and the Two Projects

Module 15: CloudWatch basics, metrics, logs and alarms, monitoring EC2 and RDS
Project 1: a highly available scalable web application
Project 2: a serverless event driven application using AWS managed services

What is AWS and who can join this course?

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a cloud computing platform from Amazon that provides compute, storage and networking services on a pay as you go basis. Beginners, IT professionals, developers and data professionals can join this course, which starts with what cloud computing is. The RDS lab uses basic SQL and the Glue module uses PySpark basics. [Confirm prerequisites.] If you are unsure about your background, speak with the learning team before you enrol.

What is the AWS course duration?

The course runs for 3 months.

What is the AWS course fee?

The live online course fee is ₹18,000. The classroom fee is ₹18,500. The self paced course costs ₹5,000. Contact the learning team for EMI details.

Is this an official AWS certification course?

This is Prwatech's own AWS training, and you receive a Prwatech certificate of completion. AWS certification exams are separate and are run by Amazon Web Services.

Does the course prepare me for AWS certification?

It teaches many services that appear at the Cloud Practitioner and Associate levels, and Project 1 follows architecture ideas used at the Associate level. It is hands on training and not exam preparation.

What is the AWS certification cost?

AWS sets its exam fees and may change them, so check the AWS Certification website for the current price. The Prwatech course fee covers training and the Prwatech certificate of completion.

Which AWS services will I use?

IAM, EC2, EBS, EFS, S3, RDS, Route 53, the AWS CLI, EMR, Redshift, Glue, SQS, SNS, Kinesis, Lambda, API Gateway and CloudWatch.

Do I need my own AWS account?

[Confirm whether learners use their own AWS account or a Prwatech lab account.] AWS changed its Free Tier for new accounts in July 2025, so your trainer will explain which account plan suits the labs.
